AAF Dubuque Student Scholarship Program
Do you know a college student with a major in marketing, advertising, public relations, communication, or graphic design? Please share with them the following information on a scholarship available from AAF Dubuque.

AAF Dubuque is sponsoring a scholarship competition for tri-state college students. The competition is open to all students having enough credits to be classified as a senior in the fall semester of the next school year and who have declared majors in marketing, advertising, public relations, communication, or graphic design. To qualify, entrants must be enrolled for the fall semester at any one of the following four-year colleges/universities: Clarke College, Loras College, University of Dubuque or University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

One non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded to the student deemed most deserving. Entrant applications will be based on merit, not financial need. The application can be found on the AAF Dubuque website and must be received by April 21st.

Questions can be directed to Dave Bunting, Scholarship Chair.

To land a job in the competitive creative industry, professionals must view themselves as "brands," and make sure all of their job-search materials provide a compelling and cohesive brand presence.

In this FREE archived presentation through AAF's From the Source series--a benefit of your AAF membership--Donna Farrugia, executive director of The Creative Group, will provide advice for developing a personal brand that grabs the attention of potential employers. You'll get ideas for using platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter to establish your credibility, tips for conveying key attributes during a job interview and suggestions for developing stand-out application materials. President's Message
The spotlight will be on award-winning creative on Wednesday as our April luncheon brings us AAF District 9 Governor Joe Mastroianni to present the District ADDY Awards winners reel! AAF Dubuque is the first stop on the District ADDY tour, where we'll recognize several of our local creative professionals and students who've snagged a prestigious District ADDY!

This year it's easier and more affordable than ever for you to attend the District ADDYs. In an effort to make this presentation more accessible to all the club members in our district, the traditional, one night awards show has been replaced with a "traveling" presentation hosted by the Governor and being made available for any interested 9th District club. The presentation will be held during the same timeslot and location as our usual speaker luncheons, at the same cost to you-the only difference is the date (a Wednesday rather than the typical Thursday). So... you've got no excuse! Get registered, and I'll see you next week!
